In my dreams
Since I was a child, I never liked riding the "kalesa" or the horse drawn carriage. Maybe its because I pitty the horses when their mouth is full of bubbles when they are already tired running around with the "kalesa" behind. That is how I got exposed to it when I was a new in Manila from Bicol during my childhood days. We lived in Tondo during those times and the horse drawn carriage is a common ride coming from Divisoria going to just anywhere. Our house is situated along Juan Luna where most horses drawn carriage going to Pajo or somewhere in Caloocan passes by.
On the contrary, I like to have horses, beautiful horses. I want a black beauty with a white stud on her foreheard. I will not let him have a carriage on her back instead I will pamper my horse, give her cold water and fresh grass and let her sleep sound and comfortably. I imagine myself in my riding breeches similar to what men worn in the 17th and 18th centuries while I enjoy a ride with my black beauty. Its now the 20th century so what those men can have then women can have it too, now.
