Our Symbol

If I am to ask what is the most precious material thing me and Rey have, its not going to be our house nor our car, but the symbol of our union.  Remember my previous post about our wedding ring, here.  I composed it when I was at work during my break.

Today, I got a chance to picture the ring on Rey's hand just before he goes to sleep.  So instead of just showing old photos of our ring during our wedding, or photos of my ring along while I am holding it.  I now have our fingers intertwined with the rings on them.  These, are most precious to us than any diamond engagement rings we've seen.  Memories overflow in these symbol of our love, priceless memories we can never be exchanged for any value at all.

Royal Wedding: Honeymoon Location

I find it so sweet for Prince Charles to suprise the Duchess of Cambridge about the Royal Honeymoon.  Though the schedule of the Prince is very hectic due to the service he needs to render for his State he still finds time to organise a secret honeymoon for Kate.  Of course the Prince considered the type of honeymoon Kate would like to have.

Possible activities are horseback riding in South America, visiting Cairns in Queensland, go diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Other suggested destinations include Jordan, Mustique, Kenya and the Seychellesb

Did you know that confetti are not allowed in West Minister Abbey.  This is one request for all the guest not to do for the Royal Wedding "We don't encourage confetti. The Abbey is a place of worship, an institution. Weddings here are so few and far between they are regarded as a privilege, that don't require confetti all over the place. It is not really in keeping.", a spokeman of the institution said.

Our Fourth Wedding Anniversary

Rey and I have been married four years today.  Time is fast and if we think of it, its still feels like we were still the  "Just Married" couple, we did not really think it was that quick.

We had our dinner in Tagaytay with our baby Gab and Ate Elong.  Shhh...Ate Elong used to take care of Rey when he was still in gradeschool, can you imagine that, now she takes care of Rey's baby. That's a secret, don't guess what her age is, ok!

Rey got home early from work and I was home already after my quick visit at Nu Skin Makati office with my friend Ayce.  At around 7pm we were on the road heading Tagaytay.  Though we really don't have any specific place to have dinner.  Rey got amazed when we passed by Pamana Restaurant in Tagaytay. Check this previous post about this resto.

The place was so beautiful, its like we were dining in an ancestral home and not a restaurant.  The place is so nostalgic.  All the furnitures are antique and the walls were decorated with lovely memorable family photos.

Since half of my time was spent chasing my son and half taking our pictures, though most of the time its Gab and Rey's photos only, I would have to borrow pictures online from those who previously wrote about this beautiful place.

i'd have to borrow this picture from the web, this is not the food we ordered but that's the exact same table we used

Some photos we took while we were waiting for our food, we were lucky to have the restaurant during our dinner, its only us they were serving during that time.

....and  some more before we hit the road again.

We got home a little before 11pm, luckily I still have a few hours to surf the net and check on some ipod accessories.  Though its late for me to find a nice present for Rey for our anniversary, I am sure he would love to have nice accessories for his gadgets.

God's big surprise

I've always wish that I'd be Mrs. Calapano! Yep, that's true but it was back in highschool days.  Back then were "party lines", that thing on the telephone line where you get to talk to someone while you hear the busy tone.  FLAMES, I wonder if high school girls and boys still do that with their names and their crushes names. Slum notes or slum book, what ever you call it.  There were no cellphones, no facebook, I am not even sure if there was friendster then already.

So after high school, my ever crush Reynald Calapano, was just a memory, a character in my daydreams sometimes.  We all went to college, unfortunately, I did not have any of my high school friends in my new school. I did not even think that my crush and I will bump into each other after we finished college.  Haha, this time, my high school ultimate crush is courting me. Who am I to say no, of course I said yes. And we got married and had a son and lived happily together.

We got married in 2007 but we missed the church wedding.  We did not experience the excitement and hardship of preparing for the church wedding. There we no church reservation, no gown and tuxedo or barong fitting, no bridal shower invitations sent, not even a wedding invitation.  But there was a happily married couple called Mr. and Mrs. Reynald Calapano.  I don't mind if I didn't have all those, at least I am married to my forever love.  Who knows whats in store for us in the future.  Maybe God has a big surprised just like when he surprised me to marry my forever love.

Dream wedding gifts

I've been married for about four years now. Yes, I did not realize it until now, it had been four quick years. Rey and I have been blessed with a son, we named him Gabriel Rey, I had him named after Rey. We'll, Rey doesn't want any of his son to be called his "Jr" so I copied his nick name. Nice isn't?
I've been surfing the web recently looking for a nice christmas gift, but when I came accross a website that promotes sweet wedding gifts, I felt so excited and suddenly day-dreamed about what I wish to expect from my husband for our wedding anniversaries in the years to come. I want something unique and simple and thought traditional wedding anniversary gifts will be the best. I also learned that fourth anniversary is being symbolized by fruits, so this lovely bunch of flowers and fruits will be perfect for me.
Fruit Wedding Anniversary (4 lovely years of  unity)

I can't help to stop dreaming when I saw this perfect wedding anniversary gifts by year. Can't take my eyes off the lovely bouquet of flowers....

Aluminum Wedding anniversary (10 awesome years of successful partnership)

Silver Wedding Anniversay (25 wonderful years of being together)

I am sure, after 25 years, bouquet of flowers would still be a perfect gift for wedding anniversary, it had been centuries ago. Rey would be the sweetest husband to hand me those lovely flowers.

I wonder how the three of us would look like after 25 years and how many more siblings will be on the picture.
