Why should I envy those who will be on holiday off?
Today the most of the working class of the Philippines is on a holiday vacation, a lovely 3 day weekend for them including my husband, Rey. But why should I envy those who will not go to work today. I have good reasons not to and I will count them all for you.
Since Gab was at the office, he played with some of my officemates, had a good picture in front of our huge christmas tree and got tired of watching the fish on our indoor fishpond.
- my shift is at 4pm, i had all the time in the day to be with my family already and finish what needs to be done in the day
- there are less vehicles on the road, its nice to travel
- i can be on a Friday dressdown at work, were allowed to wear our sneakers and jeans during holiday.
- i am paid 200% of my daily rate
- and MOST OF ALL, my son and hubby will drive me to the office.

Reminiscing my school days....
Reminiscing my school days is fun. Just recently my college friends were talking about having a reunion. We've finished college ten years ago and I truly agree its time for us to be together again, at least for a night's event and get the feeling of being college students again. I wonder if an overnight gimmick would be enough to talk about all we've missed with each other.
I can imagine all of us not being able to let someone finish a story before actually starting her's for everyone to listen. It will be a fun-organized-chaos. We came from an all girls school, so if you can imagine how girls can be very noisy and excited when they flock together, you will know how its going to be for all of us.
School days are fun, but now I can't imagine myself going back to school. Since I had my baby gab, I can never entertain the thought of enrolling again to continue my master's study. I can never get a pocket book for myself to read what more of a two or three inch thick full text book to read and digest. I don't even know how to review anymore and prepare for an exam. I would rather read tanning lotion reviews in the internet than to review and prepare for my exam.
I think its all because I enjoy the company of my baby boy who's a year and a half now. That is why I cannot entertain the idea of going back to school. You haven't asked I was enrolled in my master's study when I got pregnant. I had convinced Rey to get me enrolled and he really scolded me when I got lazy going to school every Saturday, we didn't know yet I was already pregnant then.

Charice on Macy's Thanksgiving...repost
Charice Pempengco is making waves again on YouTube again. Just a week after her guest appearance on Good Morning America with mentor David Foster, she was again on television singing 'Because You Loved Me'. This time, however, she wasn't in the studio as she performed outside, on a float on Macy's 2008 Thanksgiving Day Parade! Yup, our very own Charice Pempengco was part of this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade riding Good Housekeeping's showboat float. And the theme was quite appropriate for her as she delivered another showstopper of a performance.

nice gift....
Expensive mugs are not very attractive to me even if having one is as important as a smartcard for a call center person like me. If I can use something that is not as expensive as a starbucks mug, i'm ok with it.
Anyway, I'll leave the mug in my station when I leave work and if someone steal my ordinary mug, i can just grab another one that will cost me about Php50 in DV or a Php100 at the bargain in SM.
Until my 31st birthday came, my loving husband gave me a mug as a birtday present. This is the only expensive mug I got all my life. Isn't a starbucks mug like this one lovely? Maybe he thought that all call center people should have at least one piece of starbucks mug and yet I never had one.
Since I brought the mug in the office, I made it a routine to keep it in my locker, I'm gonna kill who will steal this, GRRR! Thank you so much hubby for this lovely present for my birthday last month, promise to take good care of this.

Blogging Help Tips
When I started blogging to earn extra, I did not know anything about it. I don't know anyone personally who does blog. Maybe they do, but I am not aware. All I know is there are people who makes money online.
I started doing PTC's (paid to click) but not for so long because I was not able to recruit referrals which will help me to earn more. I am aware of Google Adsense but I don't know how it works, thank God, I have two officemates who have adsense account and they were able to help me on it. Thanks Dea and Chel. Later on, I learned that they also blog out of hobby.
Another good read that I will highly recommend is the blog of Marghil Macuha, I read a lot of good advise from his blog regarding SEO. If you are really new to blogging you must do directory submission to have your blog indexed at different search engines such as Yahoo, Google and the likes. Nothing to worry about this is FREE.

Need You Now | Lady Antelellum
....here is my new favorite song!
Picture perfect memories
Scattered all around the floor.
Reaching for the phone cause, I can’t fight it any more.
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind.
For me it happens all the time.
It’s a quarter after one, I’m all alone and I need you now.
Said I wouldn’t call but I lost all control and I need you now.
And I don’t know how I can do without, I just need you now.
Another shot of whiskey, can’t stop looking at the door.
Wishing you’d come sweeping in the way you did before.
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind.
For me it happens all the time.
It’s a quarter after one, I’m a little drunk,
And I need you now.
Said I wouldn’t call but I lost all control and I need you now.
And I don’t know how I can do without, I just need you now.
Yes I’d rather hurt than feel nothing at all.
It’s a quarter after one, I’m all alone and I need you now.
And I said I wouldn’t call but I’m a little drunk and I need you now.
And I don’t know how I can do without, I just need you now.
I just need you now.
Oh baby I need you now.

Avon
It was not part of my "making money plans" to be a franchise dealer, especially of Avon. Firstly, I am not into make-ups or any avon products aside from the occassional purchases of brasserie in some of my mall hopping. Secondly, I am not a business minded person.
I am not very particular with using only one intimate apparels or beauty products, my cousin Lea is an impulsive buyer and most of what she buys are those she does not really her type, therefore, I enjoy brand new, unused, hand-me-downs of good quality and brands from her. Because of that, I really do not have any need to register myself with Avon even for personal use.
But now is a different story. Since we opened a variety store in Imus, my attendant encouraged me to be a dealer due to a number of demand from her from her friends at the store. And so I did, I was lucky to have a officemate who mother is a franchise dealer of Avon, I was accomodated very well when I registered in Avon Makati.
Now I enjoy the discounts and the products. I supply Avon to colleagues and best of all, after joining Avon in September I now have Php 10,000.00 credit limit. I owe all this to my good customer's who does not disappoint me with their payments, love them all.
If its God's will, I hope to have my own Avon Outlet in the future. My franchise dealer, Tita Nimfa Espedillion, told me it would be easy as long as I have a good credit line.
So that is my Avon Story in Making Money Online. I'd like to share this blessing to anyone who would like to be a Franchise Dealer like me. Anyone who wish to register in Avon thru me, I will be awarding Php 500 worth of Avon Product upon your registration. This is on top of whatever award Avon will give you as a new recruit.
Contact me thru email to set an appointment or ask query .

workload, sigh!!!
This is what helloed to me when I arrived in the office! Yesterday, I only had one monitor in my office table but today, I am using two! This means more work for me to come, more assigned task, a lot of surprises and changes to come in the office.
I think I just have to accept it and look at the lighter side. Yes, its more workload, work that would literally not fit into one pc monitor only, nothing will change aside from that. I guess I just have to think of it as having more monitor to surf the web when I'm free to, hehe.
Things will just get harder to accept if I will not think of the positive impact, at least with two monitors, I could have two pictures of Gab to look at when my PC is not doing anything.

Charice Music Industry 101: A&R – Where It All Begins..reposting
First of all, thank you for all your comments on last week’s article, ‘How Record Labels Operate‘. Yes, it’s true. We can only give you a general crash course on record labels and their ways. The industry itself is infamous for its complexity, so to delve into its depths through more comprehensive articles would probably leave us all hairless!
Record Labels Revealed: A&R – Where It All Begins
This week, we focus on what is the most important record label department of them all, A&R. It would be difficult to exaggerate the significance that A&R has in the industry, since it is with them that the whole industrial process – from artist discovery right through to music legend – begins. Madonna might have remained in obscurity if she hadn’t been signed by Michael Rosenblatt, the Sire Records A&R man who also signed Depeche Mode; Mariah Carey might have continued as a backing singer if it hadn’t been for Tommy Mottola, who also signed Jessica Simpson to Columbia Records.
In October, 1982, music executive Michael Rosenblatt of Sire Records signs Madonna to a one-off deal to record Everybody as a dance single.
A&R is the shortened version of the far more cultured sounding ‘Artists and Repertoire’, but when it comes to the realities of the business, it’s basically the department that signs and nurtures new signings. It’s referred to as ‘The Gatekeeper’ as it is only through A&R that musicians can make it into the music industry. As you can imagine then, A&R personnel attract most of the executive spotlight. They are highly sought after by ambitious hopefuls, loved by those who are accepted and hated by those who are rejected. Make no mistake about it, the pressure on A&R personnel is massive, and the popular notion that their lives are a haze of wild parties and crazy rock concerts is actually very different from the truth.
An A&R executive is employed to find new talent, so a record label expects a fresh supply of new marketable acts from them. The search entails a lot of time listening to demo recordings submitted either by colleagues, friends, associates or directly from bands and artists, as well as traveling to gigs in all kinds of small towns and out-of-the-way places. Once upon a time, an A&R executive would have been regularly swamped by hundreds of unsolicited demo tapes each week. These days, unsolicited submissions are no longer accepted (for legal reasons mainly) but executives still deal with hundreds of demos. In the modern era, they also keep a close eye on the internet – the reason why, Charice, for one, can tell you all about.
When a signing is made, the A&R department sets about getting all of the other departments working together on a plan to develop the artist’s career. The entire weight of the label’s resources row in behind the new ’star’ to promote, develop and publicize them, in the hope of creating a new marketing phenomenon. The idea is to get their story in every magazine, their face on every TV channel and their music on every radio station.
It all seems great, but the problem is that, once an executive has signed a new band or artist, he is responsible for that artist’s career direction, and their fates are often tied together. While talent is an integral part of success, it is not a guarantee. As one of the industry’s biggest A&R men, Columbia Record’s Tim Devine, once pointed out: “When the history of the music business is written, there are always big chapters on Dylan, Hendrix, Springsteen, Bowie, Sly Stone, Kurt Cobain, etc. An A&R person would give their eye teeth to discover just one of them. However, ‘new and different’ doesn’t necessarily mean ‘good and marketable’.”
So, if the signing fails to make the impact that was expected, then the executive’s career can fall as flat as the band or artist he signed.
It means that A&R is where the action is. The drama, the glamor, the success, the failures: everything that is human about the music industry is handled by the A&R department, while the mechanics and finances are handled elsewhere.
Next week, we’ll continue this series with a look at the business end of the music industry spectrum. If you want to know how a record label actually makes money from their stable of stars, or how a band or artist gets their first record out, then check it out right here.

Madonna’s First Single
In 1978, Madonna relocated to New York to pursue her dreams. She said of her move to New York, “It was the first time I’d ever taken a plane, the first time I’d ever gotten a taxi cab. I came here with $35 in my pocket. It was the bravest thing I’d ever done.”

Pacquiao vs
Pacquiao's latest fight with Margarito that happened earlier today has made all Filipino's proud once again. Millions of fans of Pacquiao are again happy for the glory and fame brought by the boxing world.
I am not very much into watching of Pacquiao's boxing matches but since I got married I seldomly find an escape to watch him. Boy's are always into watching his matches, no matter what. Just earlier, we were in Antipolo to join Rey's family to watch the event over at Kuya Roger's place (that's Rey's eldest). Rey never had a second thought of driving all the way from Cavite to Antipolo just to watch the match live from Cowboy Stadium.
Anyway, Gab had a nice time playing with his cousins!!!

Dreaming....
I didn't thought that I would love to think of furnishing our house in Laguna. I believed that as long as I have my own house, I will be happy enough and contented with what I have. But I know I am sometimes dreamy. I previously blogged about the faucets that I would love to install in my kitchen and restroom, here. And now, as I am browsing to kill time, I came across this lovely floor register, I think I fell in love with the one that is made out of solid brass.
I know I am being impossible with this one. No one uses floor register here in the country due to our tropical weather. I wonder if houses in Baguio City have this. If I'd have a house in Europe, crossing my fingers, I will buy the best floor register they sell. I got a good website where I found beautiful and lovely floor register here.

How time flies...
Time flies, really fast! Its doesn't seem that I had been pregnant two christmas ago. I missed already being pregnant, not that I would like to have another child, I don't think I'm ready yet. But I love all the pampering I get when I was still pregnant, its like everyone looks after you, and everyone, even strangers are ready to give a hand.
You won't really believe it, if I tell you that this was the baby I was having back in 2009.
At this stage, it pains me to leave the house. It's not nice to hear him crying behind the screened door begging me not to leave him with his nanny. I know exactly how Rey feels when he goes to work every morning. If there just some kind of sleeping aids that we can use to make him fall asleep just before we leave home to go to work...
