Busy Time

I have not been blogging recently, since typhoon Basyang to be exact.   As much as I wanted to blog about how we got flooded during the typhoon, I can't find enough time to detail it all to you.

Just before the typhoon came we are in the middle of planning a small store to start a business and earn additional income.  It was just a few days when Basyang arrived before the store soft opening, so all of a sudden I have to squeeze in looking for a new place, planning hauling our things to the new house and arranging our things in the house just before the store opening.

Not to mention that I still have to go to work everyday and take care of my Gab.   Schedule is so tight these past few days.   Hopefully, everything will be ok, store would have lots of customers, will be ok in our new place and most of all, everything will normalize soon.

The typhoon will be another story I have to publish soon.

Coffeemates

There may be somebody who is thinking about you RIGHT NOW and wishing that you were around. That's the wonderful thing about friendship-you always feel loved and cared about.

This is a tribute post to all my good old close-close friends when i was still in ACS we call ourselves COFFEEMATES.   I miss all the good times with my friends,  spending hours and hours for lunch break anytime within the shift, spending hours having coffee in the 20th flr of Citibank Towers (that's where our office was), most of all,  having a good nap before midnight at the break room just before we start our work.

It would be a wishful thinking wishing all those times to happen again.  It was few years ago and now we got different works and different lives, some have families already, like me, marj and may-may.  Back then, it was only Kaye who's married.

Coffeemates casts are the following. Guys, forgive me for grabbing your pictures just from anywhere...

In here are Madz, Kaye, me and Shiela.
There's xyra and shiela in the middle.

Nothing To Do

I am at work right now, my shift starts at 3pm until 12mn, that's from 8am to 5pm United Kingdom time.  Don't get confused, I work here in the Philippines but  our office follows the working hours in UK.  Yes, you got it, we serve UK clients.

You maybe wondering, why I am blogging at the office. Well, kinda, its because the major system that I use to work is busted right now. The tool that I use to answer phone calls, log notes and save customer interactions  from the UK is not working. Our IT are still trying to fix it and I am just trying to find something productive for me to do, productive as far as I am concerned of course. The company would not want me using their resources just for nothing.

I wonder what time my system would be fixed.  By the way, its not only me who's having something like this, same with Eliza, Dea and Ian.

Google Adsense Earning

Just recently, Google Adsense revealed how they share revenue with their business partners like us.   At least they are transparent enough to let bloggers like us know how much earnings we can have if we partner with them.

They revealed how two of their products shares are being divided, these are adsense for content and adsense for search. Adsense for content gives 68% to publishers while adsense for search give 51%.  So there, now that we know how much we are getting lets all enforce our traffic and let those folks click our ads.  Imagine how much we can get when we have a good traffic on our blogs.

This post is inspired by Marghil, main source is the adsense blog.

My Red Chevrolet Silverado

After Gab's birthday celebration back in April it was only yesterday we had a chance to visit again in Antipolo.  Gab had a great time playing with his cousins Yma and Matthew.

The Avelino family, (that's Rey's sister Ate Niña, Richard and Matthew) had their new car blessed in Antipolo Church in the morning.   Just on their way to the church, Richard managed to scratch the bumper of their new automobile.  It's a  fully authomatic so they can't just have it repaired in a regular auto shop so it should be some auto shop such as  Dallas auto repair.  Seeing their new car makes me dream of my own, i didn't like to have just a regular type of automobile,  i've always wanted to have a pick up type vehicle, one that is like Chevrolet Silverado .   Having this type of vehicle will serve me two purposes, that's as much as I can think of right now.   Its a private vehicle so I have the right to park it in front of any five star hotel just to show it off, or I can drive it all the way to my province without worrying about the rough road.

Anyway, much of my day dreaming.  After we had our snack at Ate Niña house, we hit the road again and drove from  Antipolo to High Street in Global City.  Richard was still behind the wheels after he managed to escape that misadventure of scratching his baby's bumper. Now we noticed that he is more careful on breaks now and even asking some tips about break job from Rey and Kuya (that's their eldest).   He admits its a lesson learned fom him,  most of the time he will drive for his family so he'd like them to be safe with him.  He'll have to know more about driving and safety since Antipolo City is on mountainous place, rolling and steep road are always present.  He'll have to have a good break job for his car for his family to be safe.

We were home just about twelve midnight and Gab was still up and hyper. Seems like he doesn't want to end the lovely day with his cousins and all the strolling we made. But just few minutes after I changed his clothed and put on his sleeping pajama, he dozzed off with his yayay on his mouth.

Imagine How My Boys Are

i have two men in my life.  and i both love them more than i can explain. i can never choose to let go of the other, its going to kill me, kill me softly.

here is Rey, the first of my two men.

this photo was taken i don't know when, i just found it in their family album.  we literally looked for it because all of his relatives claim that he exactly looked like my Gab when he was still a baby. well, be the judge on it. i would love to read comments.

now, here is Gab, my other man. this was taken when he was about 8 months, as far as I can remember, a week after he learned to sit by himself.

and now here they are together. how i love being with them. i love looking at them when they are both asleep.  i love to hear them giggle when they play.  without them, our house will never be a home full of laughter.

be the judge in this picture, what difference can you see.  this was when we had Gab's first birthday celebration at Villa Cristina in Antipolo City, looks like both of them ware teasing  me when I was taking their photo,  teasing me to join them in the pool.

Picture Picture Click Click

Just this morning, i realized my son Gab is about 2 months and a year old already. Few days ago, someone asked me how old he was and I said a year and a month old. I was struck with the idea that its almost two months already since we celebrated his first year.
Kids today are lucky in the age of technology and computer, my son Gab always have photos taken even if were just at home and having quality time.  How I love taking his photos using my canon camera that we bought months before I got pregnant of Gab.  I know I made a the right choice when I gave in to Rey when he was lusting for a canon camera when we were window shopping.  I get pictures that are very beautiful to treasure not to mention the camera itself still looks new. If Rey in the future will lust for another canon camera, possibly an  SLR,  I will give in again.  I would like to take photos my family and keep them using only the best gadget.

How I wish that during my first few year when I was a kid photos were also just taken anywhere already.  Maybe I will be laughing out loud with how I looked before or I could make scrap book with my old baby and kid photo.  This time, I will make sure memories of Gab and my other siblings to come are preserved and I will surely tell it to my grandsons and granddaughters.

This is Gab's first time visit in my office. My dear officemate Greta,  managed to snap some photos while we were at the reception area.  Well, this is the only part of our office where visitors can stay.  Fair enough, at least Gab was able to visit my work place.

Dogs Anxiety

I love dogs. I have one but since I have baby now, I am not able to take care of my dog so well as I used to be.

When I came across this post from a co-blogger, I felt so guilty for my Yuna.  Here is the original post, click here.

Separation anxiety in a dog is a very frustrating condition to deal with in dogs and although it is flattering to feel that your dog loves having you around, it is a very difficult and traumatic way for a dog to live. Dogs that are separated from their owners will start displaying destructive behaviors such as chewing, barking and digging. Inappropriate elimination and urination despite the fact that the dog is housetrained may also indicate an underlying separation anxiety problem. In extreme cases dogs can seriously harm themselves during an anxiety attack. Some dogs have been known to jump through windows!

Signs of separation anxiety

If your dog shows signs of anxiety as you are preparing to leave, this could be an indication that he is suffer from separation anxiety. If your dog greets you with excessive euphoria when you return this could also indicate separation anxiety.

If you suspect your dog is suffering from separation anxiety there are three things you can do to help alleviate his condition:

1. Pretend to Go Out: Pretending to go out and shutting the door behind you and returning after a few seconds will help accustom your dog to your absence. Keep doing this several times but remember to only stay out a few seconds at a time. After a few days of doing this, you can gradually increase the time spent out by a few seconds.

2. Crate Train Your Dog: The majority of dogs like crates as they are den animals and the crate functions as a den of sorts for many dogs. They enjoy the safety and comfort of their crate and will enjoy taking a nap or some quiet time in it. Providing a dog that suffers from separation anxiety with a crate may help him feel more comfortable and secure but never close the door while he's in his crate or he may panic which will increase his anxiety. Place some chews and toys in the crate to keep him busy and include an old T shirt of yours to provide him with your scent as this may help calm him.

3. Keep the Radio On: As dogs are pack animals, they don't like being alone. Social animals such as dogs can become nervous or anxious when alone and leaving the radio on may help the dog feel less alone. Keep the volume at a reasonable level so any when the radio program turns to an advertisement your dog isn't scared out of his wits with an increase in volume. Playing soothing music may also help your dog to relax.

If these tips don't cure your dog of his separation anxiety, he may need the help of a pet behaviorist or veterinarian. Separation anxiety shouldn't be neglected as it is a serious mental problem that can escalate with time. Dogs can damage a house when experiencing an anxiety attack and worse still, your dog may harm himself. In extreme cases, medication may be prescribed by the vet to help calm the dog down.

that's my Yuna before I got pregnant with Gab, she used to stay with us inside the house
now, we let him stay outside for Gab's safety.

Father's Day Gift Cakes

....if you are here to check the Baby Photo Contest, click this

A co-blogger, Matt, posted these really yummy Father's Day Tie Cakes for his Father's blog entry.  I just can't help myself not to show it to you guys.

I am sure most of us would love to this present for our fathers, grandfathers, husbands, uncles and big brothers who have their own families.  If you know how to bake, you may pick up your design from of these or even improve it.  Or if you will shop for cake at your nearest bakeshop in town, you may pick one similar to these.
